(24-36 MONTHS)
Wide eyed, clumsy, fearless, curious, busy, and adventurous are all common expressions used to describe this vivacious age. Children of this age are fervently awakened by their surroundings and beginning to explore the larger world around them. At this impressionable and extremely teachable age, these little ones soak up knowledge by simply putting things together, taking them apart, and asking loads of questions. At Heritage we encourage this growth and provide the guidance and tools they need to explore and learn within a nurturing and secure environment.
Our preschool curriculum allows for hands-on exploration and social interaction to help children learn about their Creator and the world around them in a safe yet engaging environment. Our highly experienced teachers make it possible for these young minds to be given the opportunity to thrive in a program designed to meet their individual stages.
As these little ones grow, they have the need to develop self-esteem through curiosity and friendships established in their daily interactions. Our teachers have the foresight to create learning experiences that will encourage a child’s rising independence; that will assist in the development of social aptitude; and will help them reach their individual potential as they prepare for preschool and beyond.
Our teachers strive to provide their classrooms with fun-filled activities and hands-on experiences that will both excite and nurture children, allowing them to expand their knowledge through investigation and exploration. Although these children are capable and talented, at Heritage we recognize that all children will learn in their own way and at their own rate. Our program implements creative and innovative activities to promote the development of age-appropriate skills by:
- Employing creative learning centers that promote development in areas of Bible, language and reading, math skills, fine motor skills, building, art, play, sensory skills, and out-door learning.
- Creating a comfortable atmosphere to accommodate the individual personality of each child while nurturing confidence and personal skills.
- Promoting learning activities that help in the development of motor skills and individual skills.
